Collas Crill appoints leading Jersey lawyers

Collas Crill has appointed leading lawyers Mike Williams and Ian Montgomery as partners in its growing corporate and commercial team in Jersey.

Mike is a well-known and experienced corporate and banking lawyer. His corporate practice spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate migrations, group restructurings, joint ventures, shareholder disputes, private placements and public offerings. 

His banking practice spans the full range of financing transactions including acquisition and leveraged finance, asset finance, Islamic finance, project finance, real estate finance, debt restructuring and security enforcement as well as debt capital markets and structured products.

Legal 500 describes Mike as being "extremely thorough and very responsive", "very impressive" and "particularly good".

Ian is an up and coming corporate and banking lawyer with a strong following in the UK and the Middle East advising on all aspects of corporate and finance law. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder disputes, private equity, debt and equity financing, public listings, tax efficient investment structures, corporate restructurings and all varieties of bank lending.

Ian has significant experience advising on cross-border transactions in the real estate, financial services, energy and technology sectors, with a particular focus on transactions involving the Middle East and North Africa.

Prior to joining Collas Crill, both Mike and Ian worked for Mourant Ozannes. Before that, Mike worked for Allen Allen & Hemsley in Sydney and Clifford Chance in London while Ian has worked for Harney Westwood & Riegels in the BVI and Pinsent Masons in London.
