Collas Crill BVI welcomes new lawyer to its corporate, finance and funds team

Collas Crill has appointed Tamara Maduro as Senior Associate in its corporate, finance and funds team in the BVI.

Tamara advises onshore law firms, banks and other financial institutions on the BVI aspects of finance transactions. She regularly advises in relation to syndicated finance, assets finance, bond and note issuances, project finance and property finance transactions. Tamara has worked on a number of high profile finance transactions and has solid knowledge of property and project finance transactions in Asia and Europe. She is also a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths for the British Virgin Islands.

Tamara has been practicing BVI law for the past seven years and previously worked in the corporate teams at two other well-established firms locally. In 2016 Tamara was seconded to New York and worked alongside the corporate team of New York firm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP where she gained experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions transactions.

BVI Managing Partner Ellie Crespi, who heads up the firm's corporate, finance and funds team in BVI, said: 'We put Tamara through a rigorous recruitment process and her candidature attracted support from the highest levels of our partnership.
