Collas Crill Cayman once again ranked in global directories

Collas Crill's Cayman office has once again been ranked in the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directories.

Commended for "providing a service that is very good value for money", referees noted that Collas Crill’s "responses are always prompt and the firm’s lawyers deliver appropriate detail based on in-depth knowledge of Cayman laws, regulations and guidelines".

In the corporate and commercial team, Cayman managing partner Alan de Saram was described by one onshore counsel as "extremely accommodating and responsive." The same source continued: "I know he can handle complex transactions to a very high standard, and his advice is always tailored exactly to what we need and ask for."

For partner Joss Morris, who specialises in investment funds, one source remarked"he is top-notch in terms of acumen and expertise. He is very practical and explains things clearly to clients."

While partner Stephen Nelson, whooften represents banks, family offices and start-up companies, was described as "very accessible and always very quick to respond with helpful answers. He then follows this up with very detailed and substantive advice - he always has the information ready and available for us" as well as "very knowledgeable and responsive’ and "provides advice that is good, timely and comprehensive".

Meanwhile for the firm's dispute resolution team, who moved up in the Legal 500 rankings, head of department Stephen Leontsinis, who focuses on insolvency matters and regularly acts for liquidators, shareholders and creditors in high-value disputes, was  described as "very careful and led a huge and difficult case in a very successful manner. There's been a lot of pressure and he's handled it expertly."
