Collas Crill takes sport students go-karting

The Guernsey College of Further Education sport students incentive scheme, sponsored by Collas Crill, culminated last Friday with a go-karting competition with Karting Guernsey.

Students enjoyed an exciting session with everone’s competitive nature on display. Collas Crill awarded medals to the three fastest students at a great event that was enjoyed by students and staff alike.

The incentive scheme was set up to encourage high levels of commitment and attendance from students on the sports courses. The scheme has been extremely successful and the college will consider extending its scope next year. Rewards centre around team-building and group activities such as go-karting as well as vouchers for sports businesses to help students fund equipment for their studies.

Sally Warburton, sport, active leisure & public services programme leader at the college said: "We are really grateful for the support Collas Crill has given us. The feedback we have had from students has been extremely positive and the results have been excellent.”

Nin Ritchie, who sits on Collas Crill's CSR committee, said: "It has been our pleasure to be able to support the incentive scheme and see such commitment and hard work from the students. The positive impact it has had is clear and we wish the students all the best in their future studies."
