Overview

Bradley joined Collas Crill in November 2018 and is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.

"I adopt a robust yet reasoned approach to protecting and enhancing the interests of my clients, and maintain particular focus on going the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcome in the most cost-effective way."

Experience

Since joining the team Bradley has assisted and advised on a number of high profile matters and cases at the forefront of legal developments on the island. Most notably:

  • An application for the removal of a protector from a series of trusts with a value of over US$300m. These trusts in turn form part of a global structure that has a value of approximately US$1bn.
  • The successful appeal of a sanction imposed on a Jersey advocate by the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of Jersey. The first successful appeal of its kind on the island, and one that is due to result in a landmark judgment.
  • The successful appeal of an enforcement notice from the Department of Infrastructure, Housing and the Environment which resulted in the enforcement notice being repealed. This was in respect of properties with a collective value of approximately £10m.
  • Proceedings concerning the extent of a right of way, the judgment of which is likely to be a leading authority and could have a significant impact on Jersey law and conveyancing practice on the island.

The variety and significance of the matters that Bradley has been involved in since joining is testament to the trust placed in him by the Partners and Senior Fee Earners in the department. Bradley has also received external recognition for his efforts, and in May 2022 he was shortlisted for the Jersey Finance Rising Star Award, Law category.

Background

Bradley graduated from the University of Sussex with a first class honours degree in Law (LLB), and obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course which he completed while working for the firm full-time.

Prior to joining the Dispute Resolution team, he gained experience in corporate, commercial and debt finance disputes while working in a transaction management team of an international trust and fund administration company.
