Dispute Resolution

Overview

Lyndi is as Associate in the Dispute Resolution team in Guernsey.

"I enjoy out of the box thinking to come up with solutions for clients. For me, it isn't about what everyone else is doing, it's about what I can do to come up with innovative solutions."

Experience

Lyndi has 12 years of experience in private practice in general litigation as well as contentious credit law litigation. She worked at the largest Bank in South Africa for seven years where she was responsible for contentious and high risk litigation matters, complex litigation and legal advisory support across multiple business areas.

Work highlights include:

Prescription judgment - a landmark case which affected the manner in which all financial institutions viewed and applied prescription on matters where there was a cancelled mortgage bond in insolvency proceedings.

Magistrate Court/High Court judgment - this defined the way that courts are to apply concurrent jurisdiction nationally.

Background

Lyndi completed a five year article contract whilst simultaneously completing her LLB degree through the University of South Africa. She was admitted as a lawyer in South Africa in 2011 and as a solicitor in Australia in 2021.
